Example: '/hello' n -> find (forward). Uses the text you entered after the slash. shift + n -> find (backward). Uses the text you entered after the slash. f -> search for letter in current line. Example: 'ft' ; -> find (forward). Uses the letter you entered after f. , -> find (backward). Uses the letter you entered after f. shift + f -> search for letter in current line backwards. ; -> find (backward). Uses the letter you entered after f. , -> find (forward). Uses the letter you entered after f. shift + y -> yank current line. dd -> cut current line. p -> paste below. shift + p -> paste above. 0 -> go to the start of the line. $ -> go to the end of the line. gg -> go to the start of the file. shift + g -> go to the end of the file. w -> go to the start of the next word. b -> go to the start of the previous word. e -> go to the end of the next word. ge -> go to end of the previous word. ciw -> cut current word and go in insert mode. :w -> save current file. :q -> quit without saving. :wq -> save and quit.
