Ongoing Review on 5e's Human Paladin with Noble Background
 Disclaimer: Will contain many subjectivity in my point of view and have many comparisons to PF system, as it was the only system where I have played as a Paladin PC.
 =========================================================================================================================================
 1) Human
- Default Traits vs. Variant Traits:
+1s on six Ability Scores <<< +1s on two Ability Scores + 1 additional skill proficiency (not too overwhelming in the beginning) + 1 feat (the most overwhelming part).
 =========================================================================================================================================
 2) Paladin
Pros:
- "No alignment" and "laxer restriction" system (compared to PF's Paladins), making them rather easier to play, even with "Evil" characters on group.
 - Divine Sense
The downgrades (see in Cons part) could make enemy detection become more challenging. An upgrade (compared to PF): 60-ft radius instead of 60-ft cone.
 - Lay on Hands
Can heal disease and neutralize poison from the very start. Can heal exact amount of hp, ensuring there would be no "waste" uses, unless if the hp pool used exceed the creature's max hp.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Cons:
- Low starting point, especially on Class Features. Easily outclassed/overshadowed by other classes on their 1st level, especially in combat and/or problem solving.
 - Overspecialized (Divine Sense; low chance of meeting celestial/fiendish creatures on 1st level, though can be used for undead) and inefficient yet ineffective (Lay on Hands; encounter action economy + low hp recovery) starting features.
 - Not recommended for 1st level one-shot, except for heavy role-playing ones. Might still weak at problem solving, especially for a character like Michaela Sicily (pre-FR Kayla). It can be covered by Background features or feats (if you can obtain one from the start).
 - Divine Sense
More like a downgraded Detect Evil (compared to PF): it only lasts for one round and only can be used in a very limited times per LONG rest. The creatures it can detect is also extremely limited (celestial, fiend, and undead).
 - Lay on Hands
Needs Action (more or less equal to Standard Action in PF) to be used, even when used to self. Making it become inefficient to be used in combat. The amount of hp it can heal is also relatively low, especially in the first few levels. Need a LONG rest to replenish the use.
