I already made a comment elsewhere on my recently begun experience of frequent freezes. During a command, like saving a photo or changing the difficulty settings; when I give the command and hit OK or save, it freezes mid action. And I have to force quit the game from task manager. No sudden freezes in the middle of a race, for example. Only during giving a certain command and when the game shows the spinning save icon. This results in the game not saving recent progress, and it can be like several races back! I'm so frustrated now because I'm barely making any progress and have to keep repeating the same races and same missions because these freezes make me go back almost to the same as when I started that session (not always. Sometimes it saves some), and also, the game may still not save even if I manage to play without freezes and quit normally. It is behaviour that I never had before, this is new to me. I always used to start from where I quit, I didn't have to worry about losing progress. I also never had a freeze or a crash before. I have even tried to return home each time before I quit. But still, I may find the game having not saved, like several races back and much progress lost. So I'm ripping my hair and losing interest in this game because this is hugely frustrating! I don't want to keep doing the same races and same missions like a million times because it won't save most of it. These freezes and lost progress started only recently. I played this over 100 hours without any issues. It's only in the recent days that this started. I've checked game file integrity and it's good. What could cause this? I think the problem resolved itself, I haven't had it happen anymore. There was a big Windows update and perhaps a minor FH4 update, at least on Steam it said it was updating. Now the game has started from where I was previously so it no longer fails to save, and I haven't had a single freeze anymore. So I hope the problem is resolved now! Should it reoccur, I shall try shutting down my PC as you advised. Thank you again!
