KJK: "All I'm saying, is I don't understand how you can have any kind of Caffeine. You're Lilim!"
MOD: "Correction: I am Cybernetically enhanced. Caffeine doesn't affect me the way it does you two."
DIL: "I'm sorry- Am I missing something here?"
IYA: "Caffeine makes us Lilim, trip. Dillan."
DIL: "It- ...what?"
IYA: "Take this with a grain of salt; I'm not a human biology expert, but: In Humans. Caffeine behaves like adenosine by mimicking it. It tricks the human mind into staying alert for a few hours more. But with us Lilim. It binds to our serotonin and endorphin receptors instead."
DIL: "...Are you telling me that caffeine makes Lilim trip, like a Human taking strong psychoactives?"
IYA: "Yeah. Basically."
MOD: "And to pre-emptively answer your incoming question; I've got more auto-diagnosing and self-correcting cybernetic hardware in my brain-matter than anyone else on this ship. Mind-altering pharmaceuticals don't affect me in the slightest."
DIL: "That just sounds dystopian. Or Orwellian."
KJK: "Wasn't he a Human writer?"
DIL: "Yeah. Big on stuff like- Uh... Being watched."
IYA: "That's... kinda creepy, Dillan."
DIL: "I meant in terms of invasive government surveillance."
KJK: -*Through light laughter*- "Yeah. Cause we don't have enough of that going on already in the Foundation!"
IYA: "Well, I for one am Indifferent. Being a medic, it's nice having someone watch your back. Never know when a patient could just go mental."
MOD: "I don't think my input would count as... sincere. Y'know. Neural-Implants and all that."
IYA: "Oh come on, Modemia. You think for yourself, I'm sure of it."
MOD: "I sure hope I do. My minds-eye has been stuck on video-static for the last few days."
KJK: "Is that good or bad?"
MOD: -*Shrugging*- "I dunno."

*IYANA LOOKS ACCROSS THE TABLE TO DILLAN, WHO APPEARS TO BE STARING PAST HER...*

IYA: "Hey uh- Dillan? Are you looking at me or-"

*IYANA TURNS AROUND TO TRACE DILLAN'S STARE, SPOTTING A TALLER LILIM WOMAN SAUNTERING ABOUT THE MESS AREA BEHIND THE GROUP.*

IYA: "Oh-"
KJK: "Who's that? ...I don't think I've seen her about the ship before... ...Phew... Damn..."
MOD: "Oh, That's- I- Just forgot?"
IYA: "That would be- ...I- what? ...how did I forget her name?"
DIL: "This feels like a Blindspot episode..."
KJK: "Is that the old-earth show you keep re-watching?"
DIL: "On of them, yeah."

*DILLAN LOOKS PAST IYANA AGAIN, SEARCHING FOR THE SAME WOMAN FROM BEFORE, UNABLE TO SPOT HER...*

IYA: "Dillan? What's got your attention?"

*IYANA TURNED AROUND, LOOKING ABOUT THE CROWDED MESS AREA...*

DIL: "That tall Lilim woman? The one you forgot-"

	*DILLAN'S VOICE TRAILED OFF...*

KJK: "You good, buddy?"
MOD: "Go figure, the human is confused about Lilim biology. Does Iyana need to explain the Caffeine tripping again or do I have to?"
IYA: "I'm no Human-biologist, but I can explain it again if I have to."
DIL: "No- no- You three just forgot about that really tall- Kijik! You were *just* gawking at her like she was a model! Don't tell me you forgot!"
KJK: "Luko- luko- ...what? Where is she?"
MOD: "Go figure, the Meteor Legionary is looking to get some."
IYA: "...Are you Okay, Dillan?"
DIL: "I-"

*THE GROUP LOOK AT DILLAN WITH QUESTIONING AND CONCERNED FACES...*

DIL: "Iyana?"
IYA: "Yeah?"
DIL: "...Has anyone ever come to you for amnesia-like conditions? Hysteria? Acute memory loss?"
IYA: "No? Why? Need a checkup?"

*DILLAN CLASPS HIS HANDS TOGETHER, RESTING HIS FOREHEAD AGAINST HIS THUMBS.*

DIL: "I think each of us just experienced an auto-censoring Memetic Hazard."

*THE GROUP MAKES NO REPLY. SITTING IN SILENCE INSTEAD...*

DIL: "Guys-?"

*DILLAN LOOKS UP FROM HIS SIDE OF THE TABLE AND FREEZES...*

HYA: "Dillan Longstone Langley, Ship-Soul Caretaker, hello~"

*DILLAN WENT WIDE-EYED, GLANCING AT EACH OF HIS FRIENDS, NONE OF WHOM SEEMED TO BE AKNOWLEDING HYLANDRA'S PRESENCE, BEFORE LOOKING UP AT THE SUPPRESSION WARDEN, WHO EASILY STOOD TWO FEET TALLER THAN HE DID.*

DIL: -*Wearily*- "Uh- Can I help you, Ma'am?"
HYA: "That depends, sweetheart~. Do you know who I am?"

*HYLANDRA SET A HAND ON DILLAN'S SHOULDER...*

DIL: "I- No? Ma'am? I don't think so?"
IYA: "Dillan? Hello?"
HYA: "Don't worry, sweetheart. She can't remember me. Nobody can~"

*HYLANDRA WITHDREW HER HAND AND SET IT ON HER HIP. BEAMING SMUGNESS ON HER FACE...*

KJK: "He's daydreaming. Let him run the process out."
MOD: "Are you sure? He's got that look about him again."
IYA: "No he doesn't- Oh, he does..."
KJK: "The gawking one?"

*DILLAN SNAPPED OUT OF THE DAZE. SHAKING HIS HEAD...*

DIL: "What the- Oh man- my head..."

*DILLAN BROUGHT ONE OF HIS HANDS TO HIS FOREHEAD, HIS OTHER FIRMLY GRIPPED THE TABLE.*

DIL: "She came out of nowhere-"
KJK: "Daydreaming again?"
DIL: "No- the- She was right here- I forgot...?"
