Download the convenience script and test:
```sh
curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com -o get-docker.sh
sudo sh ./get-docker.sh --dry-run
```

If all seems well, proceed with the install:
```sh
sudo sh get-docker.sh
```

Now test the install via a regular user account:
```sh
sudo usermod -aG docker J2897
newgrp docker
docker run hello-world
```
> **Note:** The `id` command is useful for checking group membership.
